so glad he won this year’s BAFTA’s rising star award!! loved him in Alien: Romulus (2024) and have yet to watch Industry on Max but i’ve only heard great things. excited to see him in more projects!
is such an underrated auteur. his movies are like lived-in museum exhibits to me. i hope we'll get at least one more feature film from him this decade.
I think I have now watched 3 new films with him in this last month. He’s too exciting of an actor to keep ignoring! Just a quick scroll on his insta shows that he’s also such a positive and enthusiastic voice of change in the UK, what a wonderful man
all i’m saying is i’d hate to be in a cool competition with her 1. she has the coolest style
2. she has the best taste in movies
3. she had a letterboxd before it was cool
4. she is multi-faceted: actor; comedian; writer director; producer at the ripe age of 29 her IMDB list is so impressive and she’s just getting started. she’s so cool and funny and i want to be her friend.
The irony of using AI for a movie that revolves around artistry and creation is laughable at this point. Apparently they also had to use AI to correct some of the actors’ accents, Adrien Brody included. So… do you really qualify to be the “best actor” if you had technological assistance to make your performance sound better? Also, they apparently used AI to build some of the architectural models in the movie. It’s lazy and boring in my opinion. I loved the movie but was so disappointed when I found out they used AI and what they used it for.
