whilst travelling on the train with a friend, i picked up a newspaper and flicked through to the back to try my hand (and brain) at a crossword. what followed was disgruntled noises and writhing in our seats, we struggled BIG time and were lost for words ! however, the gratification of solving a few clues was enough for me to buy a pocket crosswords collection book. i try to do one every day (preferably in the morning with breakfast) and i'm gradually getting better at them. it's improving my vocabulary and keeps the brain rot at bay! we can take a few life lessons away from crosswords, such as patience, not overthinking shit (when i think less, the answers come to me) and always double check the fineprint !
Doing crosswords for fun, and not taking them seriously. I abuse that check button, and I love the trivia, puns, and brain confusion. Bonus points if you do them at work on the clock. I can suggest the LA Times ones, hosted on the Washington Post.
Imagine reading a dream diary, now imagine it to have polygonal graphics, that's the game, there's no objective, it's just a really cool walking simulator.
