we are killing good media by being sated with mediocrity . i care less and less abt sounding like a dick and more and more abt demanding the most from where i put my free time/attention . music should be good films should be interesting books should be thoughtfulā¦. being seen as a buzzkill is worth fighting the dizzying mundanity for

People are so bad at being snobby these days. They dont know how to have high standards while still being humble. Two things can be true at once. Im being an elitist about being elitist because people are shit and im better than all of them at everything
as someone whoās realized they are chronically online (i hate it trust me), iāve realized that all the media consumption really has caused me brain rot lol. with that being said, iāve been trying to watch documentaries and movies that are normally out of my comfort zone to not only learn new things but also to help me with forming thoughts about *said* things becauseā¦sometimes i go with what people are saying online because a bunch of people are saying it (once again i hate it too trust me) all this to say, dont knock something till you try it - itās good for your brain and your soul to develop opinions
now obviously itās not the best way to receive information or interact w a collection . but seeing the range of objects individually itemised allows me to give them an equal amount of attention . usually im drawn by my own interests and prioritise theseā¦ i enjoy the experience of going one by one rather than dashing to what i already love .. opens up new worlds to meā¦.
