In this same show, Jay-Z came and they performed “Niggas in Paris”. (God I miss them together.) There are clips of all the angels overjoyed bumping to the performance backstage, intercut with a glowing pregnant Beyoncè.
I am currently in a deep deep deep deep dive into old Kanye for academic purposes (this sounds extremely nerdy because it is, but I have an in depth analysis on the College Dropout and how it’s Shakespearean/its relation to Greek theatre/compositional structure…) – and yes, i went down a kanye wormhole which led me here.
But I’m grateful. I could create a long & fruitful list of the best old Kanye performances/music videos– I might need to because my brain is bursting.
