I see the importance the band had on the scene but in the end they don't bring a lot of new ideas to the table and their playing isn't too notable either. It's probably best to think of the band as something that re-popularized experimentation within punk rock and helped other bands grow in popularity.
My SY hot take would be that Daydream Nation is a very boring album in total
