I love it!!!! He hates himself but he is a slave to his hunger just like all of us!
My favorite thing about this painting is that it was one of the paintings that Goya painted directly on the walls of his house and thus wasn’t seen by anyone else until after his death, so it is technically untitled and the interpretation that it is Saturn eating one of his children is speculative. That could just be a guy doing that

I think about this painting maybe once a week. So much so that I kind of want to put it on a mug or maybe make it my phone background?? Goya really knew what he was doing.

@SALAD_VALET I totally agree. For something that freaks me out so much it’s amazing how often I think of it, and want to look at it.
