My favourite comedian of all time. I could genuinely watch this guy for hours. I frequently revisit the SNL playlist of all his weekend updates/sketches.

The best thing to ever come out of SNL. That painfully unfunny show would and could never put someone like Norm in a main cast role today. Yes, better than Jay Pharaoh and Kenan Thompson. People DID love him before he died but the mass public did not truly get on board with his humor and comedy until after he died.
Remember when that jerk Jimmy Fallon virtue signaled by banning and uninviting Norm from The Tonight Show, and then, when Norm died, he acted like he and Norm were best friends? I for sure do.

not a special technically and honestly new in town is my favorite but I thought I’d rec this instead cus who hasnt seen new in town, it’s top 3 specials of all time for me. But enough about that, this is a 20 minute set John did the year before he landed snl and it’s a bunch of material from his CD the top part but some of it is extended versions of those bits. really fascinating to see him where he was right before he lands snl and where he was as an artist. Any time im in a creative rut (specifically a Stand up rut) I’ll watch this and for some reason it lights a fire under me.

This movie took me a little bit to get into, but I’m chalking that up to its less than ideal English dub, therefore I suggest you watch it in the original Japanese version with subtitles. Very visually beautiful movie with a very creative concept, it’s made by the same creators of Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers just so you know what to expect.

I was a hardcore Yerba mate hater until I tried the Guayaki “Enlighten Mint” flavour. I still think the majority of Yerba mate is gross but I will continue to drink them in massive quantities.
