Posted this before and then deleted because I felt dumb but I do stand by it.
Sometimes it feels embarrassing to be constantly recording and taking photos of everything but it’s very life saving to collect little clips and put them all together in a little montage to rewatch and remember that life is very beautiful and you’ll have fun again.
I don’t know why people think that you can’t live in a moment if you’re recording it but I was very much in every moment I recorded so we can put that myth to bed.
Attached a post I made of some of my little videos as an example of a sweet (to me, at least) collection of not thrilling but very life-affirming moments in a year. I love making all of my little videos hold hands. I love all of my friends and being alive lol

I used to be the person who always had their phone out taking photos and videos of EVERYTHING. I loved it so much because I could look back on any single day in my camera roll and just know what trouble I had that gotten into that day.
Some people say you aren't living in the moment if you have your camera out, but I beg to differ. There were so many small moments that I would have forgotten if I hadn't photographed them, and therefore I hold a lot more appreciation for the small moments in life. I feel like it made me realize how life is not as mundane as it seems, and that I do a lot more with my days than my brain can recall on instant.
I'm not sure why, but I stopped doing that over the past few years. I am trying to get in the habit of documenting my life again, and I think more people should too!

probably my favourite way of documenting my daily life and special moments! i love taking and editing videos (even if takes me a while to do so.. i still have to edit all my autumn and winter footage) + putting a lot of them together in a longer one allows me to delete them from my phone and make space. i also like to use my old camcorder for a nostalgic feel. i’ll probably never have enough courage to follow my dream of being a youtuber but sharing these with close friends or just rewatching them after a while brings me so much joy :’)

It has been a common thread for me for over a decade, through difficult, wonderful, and uncertain times. It’s often how I process and reflect on things, and knowing there’s a physical archive I can pass on someday carries me through it all.

Any man, any task. I’m sure there are other ways to strengthen your relationships with men but this is the easiest I’ve found and my method also gets a task done.
Ask your dad to build shelves, ask some guy on your street to mow your lawn, ask your friend to collect a parcel for you, ask your brother to hang a picture frame. So many tasks get done and so many men feel needed and appreciated. Could offer them a beer to make it transactional but it’s almost never necessary.

Brings my heart rate down by at least 30bpm. It’s so nice to instantly tap into an endless stream of reminders that there are beautiful things in the world and gorgeous people who don’t regret life.
