as you would expect, the movie is weird and makes almost no sense on first watch - a harmony korine classic! it took me a few minutes to get interested, but by 20 minutes i was fully sucked in. burial absolutely spazzed on the score too, if you are into his music whatsoever i recommend you buy the "pure" version of the movie so you can hear how amazing his soundtrack is.

More than one person brought this Jonathan Glazer movie up to me within a few days of each other coincidentally so I decided to finally watch it and Iām very glad I did. I love when thrillers are subtle and leave you room to dream.

for one, they're horribly corrupt and their billionaire CEO is a POS. this is not the focus of my rant, though; my bigger beef is this: he owns one of the biggest music companies in the world and doesn't even care about audio quality! the absolute BEST quality you can get on spotify is a LOSSY MP3 EQUIVALENT and is the same as the LOWEST quality apple offers. Listening to music in lossless on apple compared to spotify's "high resolution" is like night and day.
i get people enjoy it for the social aspects but apple has all that too. okay sure you won't know if you're a top .0001% listener of jimmy buttfuck but jesus christ do we need to stat farm this hard
i hope spotify dies i will see to it
rant over tl;dr spotify sucks and literally anything is a better option if you remotely care about listening to music
