“i thought she sang like a beautiful bird; like a purple sandpiper, or a rose-breasted grosbeak” my favorite movie genre is 2000s romcoms. hell, any romcom. this movie is much more cringe comedy than rom but it’s so good. if you like the state, wet hot american summer, or any stupid and easily-watchable indie movie, you’ll love this.
this might be my favorite movie ever. good vibes, good story, and 90s fashion. kat is one of my favorite characters ever and i wanted to be her ever since i saw the movie for the first time. also heath ledger’s performance is amazing. i love a good rom com for a cozy movie :D
a queer couple having to pretend to be straight so their evil son can marry the daughter of a right wing conservative senator is more lighthearted and warm than you’d think. this movie is hysterically funny and i think it ages well for the most part. i had a blast and i love robin williams
