Spikey hair, big swords and 90s angst. Mixed feelings on how they planned out this remake trilogy. The new action based play style gives a new feel to how the game plays compared to the original (with the option to opt in for the classic turn-based style). Biggest surprise is how they presented each chapter in an engaging way while trying to incorporate Easter eggs from the original. The story makes it feel familiar yet makes you anticipate what would happen next. Currently playing Rebirth and would keep y'all posted on how it plays out. A solid 8/10.

4 words. Blast from the past. The gameplay visuals, music and storyline of such a classic title paired with the nostalgic 2d sprite is chef's kiss and definitely something that would get old gamers as well as new players of the franchise. If you want a break from triple A titles and crave a well written story RPG, then definitely a must try. (Don't blame me if you restarted the game to complete all the stars. *wink wink*)

Fire Emblem Echoes if you're looking into TurnBased RPGs. It's a remake of the original Fire Emblem Gaiden NES game but more modernized of course. I'm aging myself here but personally I like it because it feels like a classic Fire Emblem game as opposed to the newer games where they go into a Persona-style route :(.

I always call it emo spyro. An action-adventure-platform-horror game. Chapter 4 is probably my favourite game section ever made. It’s skilfully anxiety inducing without resorting to jump scares or gore. I’m on a replay atm! It’s highly stylised and very 2011 in its emo aesthetic. Its also beautiful and designed with such care. I’ll never get over EA cancelling the third game and refusing to let go of the IP!
