I love the focus of everyone in the room, for 5, 10, 20 minutes at a time everyone is just there, observing and drawing. I do it only for me, it is not for a class and it is not a skill I am in desperate need of improving. I make work, some good some bad, and I enjoy the act of making and the grounding it gives me. I like the vulnerability of the space, there is no hiding the work you’re making. As an architecture student I do not trust the art students who do not come to the open figure drawing sessions, like what are you scared of?
I love this app because I get an intense feeling of missing out on things that don’t even exist in my life from most meta owned apps. But here I feel included 🦄🦄 and like I’m being invited to join the fun.
