This changed my life, but just use whatever (with a lid) container you have (I use my dishwasher pod plastic container) and put it in the freezer!! It never smells bad that way and stays out of the way

Freeze a small cup of water, and put a penny on top of the ice. Now if your power goes out and the penny ends up at the bottom of the cup (or mid-way through), you'll know if the freezer defrosted to the point where you have to throw out your food.

if you buy some superglue and a pack of (strong) magnets you can make almost anything of a certain size into a magnet for your fridge! I don’t really like pins because idk what to do with them and have discovered just gluing a magnet to the back of them and putting them on my fridge! I had this epiphany while making clay magnets—an idea my friend had for a party at her house.

I’ve compiled a couple: - qpdf for renumbering pages (like when the first 10 pages are in the preface and are numbered i, ii, iii, etc.). You have to know how to use a terminal for this one. - Briss for splitting facing pages (like in a scanned book)

Sometimes I see a temperature that could really mean anything (like 50F could be sweater weather or coat weather) and I’ve found that seeing what people on the sidewalk are wearing is a good indication of how it feels outside! I know that there are only so many factors that go into perceived temperature (humidity, cloud coverage, wind, precipitation), but sometimes it’s still really hard for me to tell!
