If you place value on your mornings they will be fruitful. I value quiet time before the day starts and the ritual of getting ready. Usually I pick up my apartment a tad in the mornings, not happily. I do it because I know I have to. I do it because if I don’t I will feel Overwhelmed by my space and become depressed. And I frame it in mind as like… I have no other choice but to do this! Because I don’t let not doing it be an option (within reason)

I used to be such a morning person and I’m trying to get back to that. It’s much harder in the winter but I feel more encouraged by the changing of seasons. I feel such much more at peace when I have time to myself in the mornings before I need to rush to work. I can stretch, write, read, watch an episode of King of the Hill lol. The hardest part is peeling yourself out of bed, and then you‘re rewarded by time and quiet.

i love being up early even when i don’t have morning plans. i can take my time enjoying breakfast, playing my little games, journaling, and stretching all without a rush. easing into the day and reveling in the quiet, gentle morning hours is a blessing! time feels more spacious!

I’ve historically struggled with getting anywhere on time because it’s hard to get up in the morning, but I’ve recently made the effort to get to work around 30 min before everyone — and while this may not be great for work/life balance — it does set up the day nicely.
Feels good to have a little calm before the storm so to speak. Plus it’s a way for me to justify getting coffee on the way in most days
