- my grandma’s watch - she died almost a decade ago now but I only found it recently, got the battery changed and plan on wearing it for the rest of my life hehe
Everyday i wear a ring that was my mum's, one that was my grandma's and one that belonged to the woman I am named after. People ask me why I wear them considering they are so precious. Why wouldn't I? Now, I carry with me the energies and love of 3 incredible women- how dare I even consider keeping them in a box?
Disney channel stole an idea that me and my friend had at 14 and turned it into a wildly popular tv show.
Background: we had a YouTube channel. Anne & Austin. We went to a Natasha bedingfield concert and loved the opener. Made a video about him. He was like… not famous. But this was 2012 ok it was a different time and it happened to be the era of “living room tours” and musicians doing pop ups in weird places. His management reached out. They had seen our video and wanted to do a living room pop up concert with us.
So they come to my house we invite the whole school. They took pictures. we Made it into the yearbook. It was cool.
about a year or so later a tv show drops on Disney that sounds similar to Anne & Austin. Weird similarities in the characters to us. austin posts a fb status about it as a joke. The manager reaches out and admits that in his free time he pitches shows to Disney and nickolodean… and that he used photos of us and our YouTube videos to pitch a show to Disney.
THEY PICKED IT UP. So it WAS based on us. But we were 15 and didnt know about suing people so here we are !!!
Anyway Disney… yall owe us big time
