I have a huge real life fear of chimps stemming from the Travis the chimp fiasco, and went into that movie blind. I would pay so much money to be that authentically scared again.
@REALGIRL I watched fatal attractions on animal planet when I was a kid and that episode came on and scared me so bad, I would tell the story routinely. This was so deep in the lore and planned.
@THEREALSAMB13 THAT WAS WHERE I SAW IT TOO OMG. i remember watching it and i told my mom about it and she was like….what? so i showed her the episode on youtube and she said i wasn’t allowed to watch animal planet anymore.
@REALGIRL yuuup I was watching and my mom fell asleep so I had to witness the horrors alone!!! Then I had a nightmare that night Travis was in my driveway!!! such a niche childhood experience wtf
I got to see this twice in theaters back in September 2024. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this film multiple times. It’s absolutely brilliant.
truly blew me away. i couldnt believe i’d never seen it before and when it was reissued i used the opportunity to go. i cried, and since seen it 3 more times. i’d recommend it to anyone
It was AMAZING. I had never been captivated by a movie in a theater like that at the time (2010). Definitely one of those movies you can’t stop paying attention to or you’ll lose the whole plot. Watching in theaters was the best way to experience it! I rewatched it recently and it’s still as amazing as I remembered.
