truly blew me away. i couldnt believe i’d never seen it before and when it was reissued i used the opportunity to go. i cried, and since seen it 3 more times. i’d recommend it to anyone
I pondered this question for about 15 minutes because it’s an impossible question for me. so I decided it was best that I choose a film that hit me by surprise. I’m in the theater multiple times a week and film is a large driving factor in my life. I saw this in IMAX and had no idea what I was getting into. I was the youngest person by decades but I had a fucking BLAST. I couldn’t have named one song by the talking heads, but I left a huge fan. people were singing and dancing and loving the performance. It’s easily the most unique and impressive live performance I’ve ever watched! David Byrne is a national treasure and I applaud him for bringing this together. the music is great, it’s shot beautifully, and more surprises keep coming. The heads are part of my regular rotation now and this is one of the first movies I always recommend people. I felt like I was part of a religious experience and a real concert!
i didn’t get to watch interstellar when it initially came out but lady luck loves me and i got to experience watching this masterpiece at the cinema at just the right place and time (with a fully developed brain and plenty of knowledge about the topics at hand).
a few years back i also watched disney’s hercules and it was glorious so whatever the movie is i think everyone should take advantage of theatrical re-releases.
started as a passion project with work and ended up having an incredible time. we filmed in a very desert type environment and was all about sustainability. i learnt so much. it isn’t the most perfect thing in the world but the lessons ive taken from it are truly priceless
might be a little simple but always hits. 2/3x leeks
5/6 medium potatoes (chopped into bite size pieces)
1x onion
1x garlic
500ml stock of your choice
30ml sour cream/creme fraiche 1. chop your onion, garlic, potatoes and leeks and put into a pan. let that gently fry for 5-6 mins.
2. season with chilli flakes, pepper and a little salt.
3. pour in your stock and turn up heat to boil.
4. leave to simmer for 20 mins.
5. take off the heat, stir in your sour cream or crème fraiche, and season to ur taste. a song for this i’m feeling something a little joni mitchell vibe as this is soooo warm & cosy. maybe joni mitchell - help me
