I got her in the gift shop of a toy history museum and I love her so much. The dolls were created in the 80s to go along with the flower fairies books. If you haven't already seen the follower fairies illustration you should definitely check them out they are absolutely gorgeous! She is the Christmas tree fairy so once I get a Christmas tree of my own she'll sit pride of place at the top of my tree.
I love her, never got any dolls to play with when I was young, now I buy them out of my own pocket and even give them makeovers if I feel like, Love them, truly
they're literally so cute and whimsical! the details on them are incredible and it's so fun to decorate them with little pieces of furniture and trinkets.
This is my new favourite kind of crochet project. It's great for using up small balls of yarn/scraps and they can be relatively quick projects if you keep them small (the apple one is 17x47, the bow one is 20x20, the swan one is 24x27 stitches) so if you get bored with projects quickly it's a good choice. There are so many different grids you can find I get mine off Pinterest. Since my pieces are very small I think I'm going to sew them all together plus more to create a pillow case, but there are so many other things you can with with this technique like framing them or using this style of colour work in a larger piece like a jumper.
