iām not sure if the brutalist was actually as good as it felt- but iām a sucker for an experience, and seeing a movie in 70mm at the music box with my very own mr.movies (josh), was a soul salve I didnāt know I needed. and WOWEE KAWZOWEEE what a freaking credit sequence?? the SYNTHS? the BOLD TYPOGRAPHY? iāve been playing la biondaās āone for you, one for meā every day since.
An absolutely nightmarish fantasia. First saw it on youtube in sophomore year of college and it blew my mind completely. I instantly felt understood by it and jealous that I didnāt make it. Its shocking and campy and overwhelming and a little scary too. My favorite quote is āOpen the fucking fuckdoor."
you can be a vibe if you want to! wear those oversized jeans you donāt know if you suit! light your cigs with a box of matches! play chess in a field with your friend! every time you do something like that and you donāt give a fuck, you get a little bit closer to having the best vibe out there
