An absolutely nightmarish fantasia. First saw it on youtube in sophomore year of college and it blew my mind completely. I instantly felt understood by it and jealous that I didn’t make it. Its shocking and campy and overwhelming and a little scary too. My favorite quote is “Open the fucking fuckdoor."

Watched it last night and everything about it surprised me. It’s so goofy and so terrifyingly sad without any tonal inconsistences, all while maintaining a constant speed of 700 mph. Even at 4 hours long it doesn’t give you time to blink. There’s nothing in the universe, I think, that so totally encapsulates the feeling of Beethoven’s Allegretto when it’s so loud it’s in your bones. It’s not for everyone, but I’ve never seen anything else remotely like it in my life.

I only saw this movie just recently but it completely blew me away visually & conceptually. I think its ahead of its time in the way it shows how consuming other people’s experience can be addicting and lead to unexpected problems. Everything is “playback”

closest film to a nightmare i’ve ever seen. actually so dreadful it’s unbelievable, but also very gorgeous, with an S tier soundtrack, and a good watch above all else

🫁My mom taught me this in order to slow down the nervous system. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, breathe out for 4, hold for 4. If you're an anxious person you probably already know this. Also a good way to fall asleep really fast.

🍺Aperol Spritz but throw away the champagne and replace it with the champagne of beers. Best enjoyed at a sidewalk cafe or in the park. Drink 2-3 for best results.

🏘A rare experience in the city. House parties have a charm and intimacy that just can’t be matched by a bar. Everyone’s forced to physically brush up against each other and talk to people they might not otherwise. A good house party is sexy in this way. Anyone who attended my last halloween party knows this well.
