I don't care if people think it's childish, but I do care that young adults/adults have been socialized to believe that imaginative play is only for children. Go heal your inner child and mind your own business.

if an asshole is someone who throws a temper tantrum on the regular and who treats your interactions transactionally babies and even cute old people qualify. there is something to be said for a seeming loss of trust (from the knocks of life experience), openness (the degree of this depends on childrearing and epigenetics) and innocence (as magical thinking is replaced be logic-learnings). Fight your internal urge to prejudge, force yourself to engage new experiences and people outside your tribe, age, demographic and your world will truly stay magical:)

low-key mid. most people might assume it'd be better for productivity, but it takes all the joy out of beginning a weekend. really sets up your expectations for failure. was having a really cool, weird dream, too. something about participating in a timed test at a summer camp, complete with pyrotechnics and high dives off a cliff side.

my current Obsession. a well-written, freely-accessible webnovel turned webtoon with an incredibly original plot and dynamic characters. complex worldbuilding that feels grounded in modernity. really, REALLY good writing with unexpected plot twists, humor, and drama.
