I’ve loved Aaron Powell’s solo project for a few years now - Dragonchaser and Captain are two incredible records which both grabbed me initially - and the further I delve into his back catalogue I still find amazing gems like this lofi slowcore piece.
one of those records i keep coming back to over the years and can’t imagine ever getting tired of <3 beautiful, crunchy, guitar-forward indie rock with a country lean and smart songwriting !!
Awesome new artist I’m LOVING right now. He just put out his self titled album on Mac Demarco’s label and sounds like Domi & JD Beck, Doobie Brothers and a light sprinkle of shoegaze in the first track there.
