I'm a math tutor and I loooove helping people with math. There is no better feeling than when I help someone with a math problem and I can see their expression change from confusion, from putting pieces of a jigsaw puzzle together, to understanding. With a click, the light in their head goes on, the pieces make sense, "ooooh! I get it!" and I know I've done my job :)
Its so rewarding to watch those aha moments, when eyes brighten with understanding. I didn't think I was going to enjoy teaching freshman composition as much as I have been. I love pushing these kids towards competency in their college careers. I love inviting them to think critically about the world around them. I love the surprise in their eyes when they realize they've been smart enough to be here for a long time.
ive been tutoring kids for as long as i can remember and itβs been quite a journey but helped me grow as a person so much connects me with my inner child again, and kids are just funny sometimes with their lack of filtering system or just the way they think
older kids too like middle-high schoolers so interesting to see their view on the world talk to more kids !
To get me to sit down, write an essay, study, oo it is like pulling teeth. But.. but.. Today I made studying a ritual, I told myself to find the beauty in it, got myself a coffee, and dialed in. And I actually had a good time and enjoyed what I was learning :D What helped most though was the fact my teacher is supa chill and ultimately without this pressure I really did get to learn something I love <3 shoutout Dr. Mendoza
I love collaging. I collect pretty much anything paper like that appeals to me: stickers, wrapping paper, toy packaging, magazines and newspapers, etc. it's fun to cut stuff out and put it all together to make something new :)
