Honestly cats are the best sleepers. So I take a lot of naps with my yellow one. I build like a mini duvet fort with a big pillow so he has space to move and stretch. He purrs when I get him inside the fort and just lays on his side, rests his head on my hand and fall asleep. I think his purring helps me sleep quickly too.
Soooo warm their basal temp is like 102°F! And don’t get sweaty like another human/your partner. You can still sleep in the same bed as your partner just a little away, but snuggle the cat. Don’t have to worry about waking it up, it’s a cat. And then they just leave the bed a few hours later when they want to and it’s nbd. Low stakes, high warmth.
Today is the release of my new EP, and being an independent musician is HARD AF.
