A friend recommended I watch this film after I gave him an in-depth explanation of my sexual dysfunction(s). Itâs directed by Michael Haneke, known best for both the German and U.S. versions of âFunny Gamesâ, so you already know it's fun for the whole family. Iâve been obsessed with it ever since. I fear it has possessed me. If youâve seen it, you know more about me than I would willingly divulge even after years of friendship. I almost dressed as the protagonist for Halloween this year. In turn, Iâve become obsessed with Isabelle and sheâs now one of my top five favorite actresses. Her poise and courage on screen is unmatched, not to mention raw sex appeal. She really is Mother/Maman.
There are so many reasons why this film is my absolute favorite. However, this is for all the crazy bitches. I could go on and on about how great this movie is but all I can say is, it will take you on an emotionally tolling ride. Isabelle Huppert gives such a gut-wrenching performance, truly unlike anything ive ever seen before. Itâs so memorable, I can still vividly remember each scene. #FemcelsRule
