a recent discovery of mine is that only so often will you be punished for making the wrong life decisions
there are times where i get completely hung up on two decisions that both seem like good decisions, but despite this abundance of awesome decisions the only thing i get out is misery in being unable to choose ...
i think that part of maturing is realising the easiest way to make yourself happy in this situation is to just choose one and remind yourself that, even if the other decision ends up better, firstly you're not even gonna know (lol) and secondly you can't underestimate your willpower to make the most out of the hand you've been dealt. i'm not saying ability deliberately - i'm saying willpower - but at the end of the day having that will is more important than whether or not you can pull it off in the new and mysterious situation you may find yourself in. this way you open yourself up to actually making these decisions and #ReapingTheJoy because you can't do so the longer you worry!

This has helped me a lot when paralyzed over big life decisions. I canāt know the future, and therefore might make the āwrong choiceā or have unexpected consequences. But if I think about other times Iāve ended up in a bad job / relationship / living situation / whatever, I have always figured it out and gotten through it. So itās rational to believe I will do it again.
Also helpful for decision anxiety: You are making the best decision you can with the information you have right now. You might change your mind with new information, and thatās ok.

Bad decision after bad decision after bad decision then trying to make the most of the opportunities I had left which I think Iāve done an okay job with. itās easy to get caught up in wishing things were different or that I had taken different paths but then I wouldnāt beā¦ me š„¹ Iāve gained a unique perspective from living a fairly unique life

my friend (or two of my friends) use this word a lot and honestly i don't really know what it means. like, I know what serendipity means [i've watched the movie] but i can't define this word. and yet... i know exactly what it means. it's tranquil and fulfilling and natural and it's like. i can apply this word to so many things in my life without knowing truly what it means. like i've seen "great serendip" and i just have no idea
i think the most magical thing about the word is its use as an interjection. like, i hardly see it in sentences - like oomf will be going to a hockey game or i'll be eating noodles in my warm garden and it'll be like Ah. Serendip. likeeee this is so huge for me

on another note i just looooooove not really doing anything productive. at the peak of the human experience is the nights out and the weddings and shit but in the middle is the moments where you're not doing anything productive. it is a blessing to be able to enjoy these moments more than some but man do i create opportunities to be lazy more than is warranted

this is an album i'm astounded doesn't have more listeners. there are some absolutely stellar moments of arty folky big grand rock on here that just blow me away if i had to give tracks they'd be theatre for change, the kiss, let's take the stage tonight AND pass between houses but really the whole thing is great (except for one track imo which is kinda scary) but it's written so beautifully and it's just the kinda music you Want to find you so yeah. Basically if you like bcnr listen to this
