Not being able to see my Pi.Fyi followers for this period of time has really revealed to me WHAT I AM SEEKING when I click on Followers. here is a list of what I seek in order of importance: -proof of relevance
-that the # is growing as I post more
-how hot on average my followers are
-community this whole app and our whole life is about connection and community, and neither have all that much to do with followers. I love my mutuals! When I engage with them I can still see and ,even better yet, I can remember them by their avatar/tone! I miss when everyone had like 22 followers on Instagram⦠this is like that rn and I donāt see why some of you want it to change besides to turn into Giga Influencers. and if thatās the case you clearly mustāve flopped on the capitalistic social media apps aka you canāt even hack it if you tried Xoxo Loving my Mutuals most,

i see really cool/ funny/ smart people and 90% of the time they just follow me back straight away. itās one of the joys of not having a big following ā you can make more friends with strangers! i think the art of that is lost with influencer culture, because why would you follow a āfanā back straight away (particularly when you have 50k plus of them?) also iām a ārising userā after posting like 6 times which gives me a huge ego boost. Small App is IN šš
My followers know who I am and what I look like. The things I enjoy and people I spend time with are what make me an interesting person. Curate your feed with random things that you enjoy, interspersed with photos of yourself, just in case the people do forget what you look like. Make Instagram casual again, be a content curator above a content creator I guess.
I used to be so precious about my following to followers count and then I realized I just want a feed that reflects people who inspire me doing what they love and what I love and life is so much better when itās not a competition
Let it out , legend. On friendship: have a fart contest! On relationship: maybe theyāre into that sort of thing š On family: I think all families at some point smell each otherās farts and Iām sure itās part of our primordial bond.
Every day at some point every member of my nuclear family will send their song of the day, with or without context. Not everyone remembers everyday but itās a practice we all are getting into and a habit we are keeping semi accountable to. On busy days itās nice to have the playlist format so I can revisit everyoneās songs in an orderly fashion when I have the time To do so.
Itās great for infinite reasons.
