SPIritfarer and citizen sleeper

Both are indie games that I've really gotten into this year! Spiritfarer is closer to Animal Crossing whereas Citizen Sleeper is a cyberpunk resource management game. For Citizen Sleeper I started playing it on my Xbox with Game Pass but ended up buying it for my Switch as it's the perfect game to play before bed, especially with their soothing soundtrack. Spiritfarer is also on Game Pass and I'm thinking of getting it for my Switch. The artwork in that game is absolutely gorgeous.

you play as a sleeptime investigator/cop in a world where the internet is accessed through sleeping. it’s a lot of reading, puzzle solving, and investigating. and it’s a whole lot of fun

Helldivers 2

its a perfect post work game, get home grind some bugs, existential crisis, go to bed. it is also becoming sort of an ARG experience from its social media presence, and with the gameplay loop it feels really cool to see in game actions affect *anything at all* besides my dopamine receptors

BODY DOUBLING

it's helped me get through so many tasks i've dreaded or was too depressed or bogged down in the details to do. even just sitting in silence with another human working on their own thing is helpful. even if it's virtual! sometimes it's just hard to do stuff alone. and talking through stuff with someone who has more grace for me than i do can help get me out of my head
