you just never know when you’ll need to plug in and escape into your own little world with some tunes.
and YES I will keep using the wired ones because god knows the wireless ones will die on you at the most inconvenient time possible !!!
I just bought some wired headphones the other day!! And I’ve been obsessed with them!! they Also just make u feel cooler?? they just add to the vibe and u don’t need to charge them !
@INAFETS yes exactly!! I keep multiple pairs on me, all with different plug-ins since apple likes to have a million different audio ports on their products. so I’ve got my phone headphones, my laptop headphones, and my dongle :)
Never have to worry about losing an earbud OR CHARGING THEM. I can never go back to bluetooth. Also the concept of bluetooth scares me idk how we did that as humans
I still use my wired earphones. Noise cancelling and Bluetooth headphones are great for a jam out and I own a pair but I hate charging things (or more so I forget), I’m lazy and I love my wired earphones. Love to hear ambient noises in the background sometimes especially on a walk alone.
Also I’m a ceramicist and a painter, it’s just easier sometimes to be able to use my dirty hands to pull the wire and get them to pop out of my ears rather than having to clean gunk off my expensive Bluetooth headphones.
as was the case with many young girls growing up in the 2010s, I was a hardcore directioner from their very first album. I was lucky enough to see them in concert when I was 13, and their music carried me through my early adolescence. flash forward a few years to 2017, I’m just starting my freshman year of college, and I happen to form a bond with a girl in my orientation group over our shared love of 1D. said girl went on to become one of my closest college friends, sophomore year roommate (we had matching harry & zayn tapestries on our wall), and sister for life. reconnecting with her this past year following liam payne’s sudden tragic passing turned out to be exactly what my heart needed at this strange point in life after turning 25. love you long time, Amisha! ❤️
if I Spy books were as big a part of your childhood as they were mine, you already know the cozy, liminal space vibes that they convey. revisiting some of those images in my adulthood just brings back such a strong feeling of comfort and peace.
some of my personal favorites: Treasure Hunt, Christmas, Spooky Night
I used to live in nyc, and one day as I was making my way to my train home from work, I spotted a familiar face walking in front of me. instead of, I don’t know, being a normal person and leaving him the fuck alone, my intrusive thoughts won and I went straight up to him and asked “are you rodrick?” He just went “uh… yeah.” I then realized that he was in Oppenheimer which had just received a bunch of Oscar nominations at the time, so I just went “congrats on Oppenheimer!” And he said thanks and I walked away quickly. Sorry to bro but ur still a legend
