While you can, at this age. Trust me — you’ll have NO regrets. Other than that you didn’t keep a journal and take more photos. I have an exceptional memory, but still it’s not enough So save the emails and text threads you send. And keep every letter you receive, especially.
Only the most sentimentally or pragmatically valuable items survive the purge. I keep important documents inside of an old MacBook box in a trunk and I keep little scraps in an old Costco holiday cookie tin or in the pocket of a Moleskine journal. Kind of deranged of me but I’ve always done this and I’m more of a digital archivist
