I was at a wedding once and love shack came on and a group of people started to line dance to it. I got off the dance floor because I’m not into line dancing and also didn’t know the dance but thinking back to that time, I should have just stayed and kept doing my own dance.
No hate to line dancing btw. I just personally sometimes don’t enjoy dancing in a line doing the same moves over and over again.
Freestyler for life!
I went to a wedding in August, middle of no where Alabama. It was a thoroughly evangelical wedding- and outdoors. There were a ton of tech issues, and they were getting married right as the sun was setting, and they were getting married right in front of it so no one could see and everyone was sweltering. anyways- just setting the scene. The dance floor was surprisingly bawdy, considering the religious setting….shirtless men, twerking, sexual millennial club hits…it was so fun! I got into 2 dance battles, if my memory serves me correctly. At one point, I took my belt off as other people did, and started doing swinging tricks with it while squat kicking. everyone loved it! I don’t know if this is normal for a wedding, I don’t really got to them, but it was really fun and very memorable!!! Pictured: post-dance floor me
I went line dancing tonight and I thought it would just be old people dancing to country music. but it was actually that and more, it was a vibe. I don't really listen to newer country music so I didn't know most of the tracks but it was still fun. my friends go and I've been invited before but was unsure for a while. overall I'm glad I went, it's something fun to do once a week with friends and that's what's important I think
Sometimes life gets busy and I do a bad job of keeping in touch with my old friends so when I think of them I’ll just send them a random text asking how life is going or just saying hi to them or I’ll send them a random meme
It feels uncomfortable sometimes to text people randomly but it always makes me happy once I do it
What’s better than getting your legs pumping, feeling wind through your hair, and not being on your phone?? Note: maybe don’t swing where there are little kids playing - it might seem creepy
