I went to a psych hospital as a teenager and my friend from home wrote me a letter and suggested that I start going by my middle name for a new beginning. The name literally means rebirth so itโs a good reminder of recovery and my friend who helped me through it.

i moved across the country right before senior year of highschool. decided to go by a different name. best choice iโve ever made. itโs been about 6 years and im looking into legally changing it
obviously it doesnโt have to be that big of a reinvention. something i wished i had done that i didnt is be true to my interests. no matter what youโre secretly interested in (nothing genuinely creepy or illegal), there will be other people interested in it too. no point in suppressing something that brings you joy. especially when there WILL be people who support and encourage you

for real though, I've had several names and my deadname and legal name (both different) are not interesting to me or profound in origin. I was gonna be named Avery, which is honestly really cool with me, but another parent they knew who gave birth the same day named their kid Avery first. so they decided to name me something else to be original on the spot. ๐

so flowers, my current and most recent name... came from a halo machinima series ๐ he was my favorite character and everyone just started calling me that and it really resonates with me as a name of who I am in vibe. it reminds me of some really great times and people I love. when I use it I feel more connected to who I was then and bridging it with nowย ย

Itโs that time of year. Make a pitcher of iced tea and get outside. Can be done solo, in pairs, in groups. Can make herbal tea, green tea, black tea, you name it.
