I spent the morning helping box up 3,500 Thanksgiving meals for people in need in my community! It was really nice I highly recommend volunteering at your local food bank, soup kitchen, shelter, etc to give back this holiday! 💌
my friend was visiting and asked me to help her with the merch booth she was working. and it brought me so much joy.
in these current horrors, help your friends.
you know what other things bring joy to my life? going grocery shopping with my friends. driving people to the airport. reading books beside each other in coffee shops. helping someone find an obscure pepper paste in town. selling shirts at a country show. trying to find an obscure theory book together for book club. sitting on someone's kitchen floor while they do dishes.
you can't complain about the lack of community you experience without being apart of your immediate community, the small things happen to be the most fun and rewarding things to be a part of. support your loved ones.
because life is more than what you do to pay bills, and no one deserves to feel unsafe and underpaid in a work place (yes i am terrified but it’s okay)
i don’t want to have a “thick skin” about everything, maybe we should all just be nicer to each other. when did we come up with the concept that being sensitive is bad? i’m sensitive and i like it. the world doesn’t have to hit me and i just get back up, maybe i will cry a little bit.
