What was your first favorite song when you became old enough to have a favorite song? Like when you could provide an answer to someone who asked? (mine was tall, tall, trees by alan jackson when I was ~4)

I think I really liked My Favourite Game by the Cardigans as a kid. It came up on TV once in a while and I vibed to the energy of it. Later I listened to all their albums and became a fan.

Don’t know why- norah jones

love this ask bc my brain compartmentalizes life events and tells time through music and this is the first song i remember loving. i couldn’t wait to be a grown up and drink coffee by the beach when i heard this one. i would still like to drink coffee by the beach whilst listening to some norah. (i am told that my very first favorite song as a baby was “believe” by cher).

COME AWAY WITH ME - NORAH JONES

Not one I purchased, but the first CD I was given as a child. Used to listen to this in the car with my grandmother when she’d pick me up and drive me to ballet lessons. Very formative album for me since it’s this and the live version of landslide that were the first “real” music I can remember hearing. If it’s first music I personally purchased… a bunch of random cds from the used book store when I was in middle school. Don’t know what would be in that stack.
