you thought you were gonna stroll down the sidewalk and eye-flirt with strangers on your way to work? WRONGGG. your ass is LATE LATE. time to pick up the pace. no shame in my game though. i really like doing this in moments when it's not 100% necessary. i absolutely loathe doing this when it's incredibly necessary (running very late and the difference between this bus or train and the next means losing an additional 15 minutes). i'm either running cause i care/fed up with my own bullshit lateness or running because it feels ELECTRIC. in both cases i never feel foolish for running. shoutout to fight or flight.
BONUS POINTS:
- gives the feeling of i'm starring in the film called MY LIFE and the world is my audience
- gets the heart rate going

Breaking into a full sprint feels really good sometimes. Usually, I reserve it for moments when I need to get somewhere quickly and never at the cost of others' safety on the sidewalk. But every once in a while, I can't help myselfโI just wanna run! Easy way to make life feel cinematic. Looks insane.

okay i'm not *currently* reading it but i recently read it so it counts! for the uninitiated it's about a guy traveling to an island to research the guy who invented the atomic bomb who then ends up in all these weird antics. but it's also a satirical commentary on religion and society as a whole and more importantly consistently funny - big vonnegut fan and rlly liked this one
