Today’s bird of the day is the American crow. That’s awesome.
I just started using this app, but it’s frankly amazing how it can detect what possible birds are around you via sound. It’s fun, even, looking at the shapes of the sound waves specific birds make. A coo is different than a chirp. A shrill looks like a bouqet of flowers.
For the past week, I have woken up to a dawn chorus of mourning doves, goldfinches, and wrens. It’s a glorious past-time. I can hear who is singing and who is still asleep.
