Today’s bird of the day is the American crow. That’s awesome. I just started using this app, but it’s frankly amazing how it can detect what possible birds are around you via sound. It’s fun, even, looking at the shapes of the sound waves specific birds make. A coo is different than a chirp. A shrill looks like a bouqet of flowers. For the past week, I have woken up to a dawn chorus of mourning doves, goldfinches, and wrens. It’s a glorious past-time. I can hear who is singing and who is still asleep.

I’ve been obsessed with this app that identifies birdies based on their calls and songs! It’s incredible how many different birds are in my yard at different times of day. I’m so excited to use it while traveling too🙌

One of my favorite apps, free to use bird identifier app, through bird calls! No pictures needed. It’s nice to know what I’m hearing throughout the day

Things that change are interesting to me. Light, humans, all plants, etc. My favorite images were ones where the subject had some degree of mutability.

sloane_shark This method helps with notebooks that don’t naturally lay flat! It isn’t a perfect system, but it works pretty well. I like *using tools* even if those tools are humble clips.

Doing a Molly Baz move and stir-frying some elbow macaronis I cooked awhile ago then doing an Eric Kim move and tossing the crispy pasta in a fermented, creamy sauce. edit: pretty amazing, folks
