I went through a phase where i took adult ballet classes a 50min drive from me, and one day my comedian online mutual was likeā¦ ālet me comeā¦ā and for like 6 months we went to ballet together twice a week and slowly started recruiting more of our friends to join us. honestly great time i felt like a kid again :D #hingepartner
do something that feels really beautiful without any pressure to actually be good at it (and maybe revisit something you used to love as a kid but fell away from for a whole host of reasons that are now irrelevant 18 years later)
i tried dancing when i was younger but my dance teacher moved away and i started swimming instead. im 19 now and im thinking of starting adult ballet, i wish i started as a kid
Whether thatās with a joke or a low stakes question, I try to get myself to rememberāit doesnāt have to be that deep.
Like sure it was awkwardā¦ but awkward moments are inevitableā¦itās a part of meeting someone new!
Plus it can serve as a moment to look back and laugh about as we get closer. An opportunity to be like, āLook how far weāve come!!!ā
