i had this problem going from crochet to knitting you just gotta be a bit loose with it - i think knitting benefits from looseness in a way that crochet doesn’t ! also you can fix dropped stitches reaaaally nicely with a crochet hook if you didn’t know that already :-)

thanks!! when i was first attempting last night I noticed that it turned out better when I was loose with it but its a weird adjustment from crochet lol. I didn‘t know that about the dropped stitches and I started over a few times because I thought there was no fixing it 😭 thank you again

you also might have a hard time bc knitting can take longer than crocheting. i personally learned to knit first and then crochet, which i bet is easier than learning to crochet first then knit. regardless, good luck!

I find it easier than knitting for some reason, but if knitting is your bag, then go with that. I just love turning my brain off and crocheting while I watch tv or listen to a podcast!!!! If you have the problem that I do where you need to have something to do w your hands while you sit still (lol) (needing to be productive while relaxing) (aka ADHD) this is great. And bonus you get a new sweater or hat or blanket when you’re done!

Faster than knitting, also easier to learn. I prefer to knit on a machine anyway. With crochet, a lot of the magic is in its flexibility of the stitches. How magical!
