something about Clairo and a funky/jazzy back beat gets me every time, her voice is like floating over punchy kicks, piano, and synths and it’s just ughhh I haven‘t stopped listening to it it’s all I’ve been listening to all day…it feels like the time between summer and fall ion know how else to explain but that feels right
fuck I was like “okay fine let’s see what this girls cooking” and got literal goosebumps (I’m a little hungover) but I have to admit she nailed it with the visuals and the swedish pop production vibes. additional shout out to Aquamarine, its summertime bitch!!
I’ve always been a fan Clairo’s music, especially “Bags,” but on her latest album Charm she really pushed through to the next level. It’s among my favorite albums of the year, and it’s really tough to pick just one or two tracks to highlight. Gun to my head it’s “Sexy to Someone,” “Juna,” or “Add Up My Love,” but they’re all really great.
