I love spending entire days with my little niece. It's like the ultimate detox from life. Just spending hours walking through the house with her, finding new side quests like arranging pasta noodles in a cup for an hour. She also likes to stare out the window and yell "CAT" when she spots one. In the afternoon I'll sing her lullaby's and nap besides her. It's sooo peacefull, highly recommend.

They have so much to teach us. Especially babies.

she’s a month and one day old and i adore her in ways i didn’t know was necessarily possible i think of her at every store and want to buy her all the things (channeling that energy into getting my finances in order so i can spoil her when it matters) nothing like having a tiny human u love to put things in Perspective (but also she’s not my kid so i still sleep well at night)

I love it, even with the repetition and exhaustion. Unexpected benefit: losing sense of time. Every task, from feeding to putting her to sleep, takes as long as it takes. I’m not trying to control time or “be productive” in the same way I did pre-baby.
