This was my favorite as a toddler, I even told people I was Curious George. Every time I return to it I am struck by how gorgeous and sweet it is. Ultimate nostalgia trip and a real comfort movie. Also, learning Will Ferrell plays the man in the yellow hat blew my mind a few years back.

when I was younger me and my mom would go to the library and I would make her rent the vhs everytime we went. this probably went on for at least half a year. i can’t speak to what drew me to this movie as a four year old but in recent rewatches I have discovered this is one of the most beautiful and tender movies of all time. Goofy loves his son so stinking much and it reminds me of how lucky I am that my parents also love me that much

probably the most whimsical movie to exist and a staple of my childhood. it’s been a while since i last watched it so i don’t really remember how the story holds up, but i trust younger me’s judgment.
it still has one of my favourite set and costume designs of any film ever. the things i would do to get my hands on those dresses!!

Had it on VHS as a child, and since we didn’t have cable I wore that tape OUT! I think it’s forgotten/underrated in the muppet movie canon, but it’s got great performances by the human actors, by the muppets, and it’s got a great moral about finding yourself and loving yourself for being yourself - Gonzo (who is top 5 muppet for me) is a great vehicle for that message, and it’s just always stuck with me to this day
Plus, incredible soundtrack, lots of George Clinton and funk music, cannot be beat
