I watched this film on a flight back home, and Blue Giant was an experience I believe everyone should see at least once. It beautifully captures the characters' earnest pursuit of becoming the best jazz musicians they can be, with animated solos that rival recent animation masterpieces like Flow and Spider-Verse. If you love underdog stories, music, or jazz, I can't recommend this film enough.
Had it on VHS as a child, and since we didnโt have cable I wore that tape OUT! I think itโs forgotten/underrated in the muppet movie canon, but itโs got great performances by the human actors, by the muppets, and itโs got a great moral about finding yourself and loving yourself for being yourself - Gonzo (who is top 5 muppet for me) is a great vehicle for that message, and itโs just always stuck with me to this day Plus, incredible soundtrack, lots of George Clinton and funk music, cannot be beat
