I was an emo kid. I had this album on REPEAT on my little boom box, in my parentsâ cars, and on my mp3 player after I ripped it from the CD.
I was obsessed with Simple Plan. I remember in 7th grade, I came home from school after not getting a single Valentineâs gift or card from my friends even though they were handing them out to each other, and I was very upset. My dad came home from work later that night, and teasingly said something along the lines of âoh I bet everyone was lining up to give you a gift today.â and when I broke down crying, my mom yelled at him that I hadnât gotten any and that I was very sore about it. He left to go to the store and bought me some candy and this CD. It was one of the nicest things my dad has ever done for me. He isnât always great at sharing his love, but this was so sweet.
