This is actually incredible. Serious retro nerd shit. The rotoscope animation is pure, janky and beautiful and at times this film is genuinely creepy. The backdrops remind me of looking at old video game inserts from the 90s. It’s also really hilarious occasionally, especially when compared scene-for-scene with Jacksons trilogy. It has an absurd lofi magic and the acting has this calming nostalgic BBC budget radio drama quality (John Hurt is the voice of Aragorn). Sadly they never finished the planned sequel to this - one day it should happen. Make it. Make it for me.

Very refreshing occasionally to listen to craft that has little overthought. Big fan of hearing something that isn’t trying to be experimental Or cutting edge occasionally. Just songs. Songs are great.
