Rolled my ankle during my pickup baseball game on Sunday. This 'ol saying my dad taught me in Boy Scouts saved my ass looks like it's gonna heal pretty fast.

Nooo this is the old protocol either use PEACE & LOVE or MEAT protocol. While RICE protocol is amazing of serious injuries such as fractures and ligament tears, don't use it for comparatively milder injuries such as strains and sprains. Even if u do it suitable only for the first 24 hrs. Sincerely a physiotherapy student. ANTI-REC: FALLING WHILE RUNNING
In 2017, I took a spill while on a run. I stuck my hands out to catch myself but was moving so quickly that I just scraped my whole body across the pavement — face first. I still have a scar on my upper lip from where the concrete scraped me. I was in shock and happy I still had my teeth. I had also just started a new job, so I was between insurances and without dental, so I’m glad I didn’t really mess myself up. Instead of going to a doctor, I went out for drinks with a friend lol.

having one or two go-to stories that make you sound tough
like when i got a pitchfork stuck in my ankle & didn’t go to a doctor. for instance. or getting hit in the face with a baseball bat (def saw a doctor that time).

my heart hurt a little bit when I read your post — I twisted my ankle in October 2022 and it still isn't fully recovered I've been to the doctor lots and am in physical therapy rehab because of it MY BIG MISTAKE: Running too soon after hurting it. It was not worth it!!! I gave it a week and then went for a run. As much as possible stay off it and rest until no longer hurting.

Free museums, botanical garden, and a ton of other stuff stuff and Libby you can rent ebooks and audiobooks from the library and listen to them on your phone or read them on a kindle if that's your thing, also look at this cute library card
