Not art. Blue collar. Just paint something around the house, base paint it first. Wait for it to dry, mix a custom color or just pick one out of the bottle and paint the thing and if ur still angry by the time you finish pick something else. It’s helping me and I dont think you all know how clinically unwell I am. Trust! Me!

for catharsis. I painted on some rocks. I highly recommended this because it’s way more low stakes than painting on a canvas or something.
It gets you off of your phone, helps with mental health, and is fun even if you kinda suck. (It is better if you kinda suck)

This Cy Twombly playlist was particularly good, I also find peace in some Monet playlists. This does also apply to other forms of media, such as authors and influencers, films etc. I watched the Substance and found a lot of European 2000s house music through those lists. I just finished Cookie Mueller’s Walking Through Clear Water in A Pool Painted Black (apologies if it’s not the exact title of the book, I’m not motivated to look it up at the moment) but her lists are full of Nico and The Velvet Underground. If your favorite artists dont already have playlists, make them one yourself!
