There's an anger harbored within this record that distinguishes it from his other albums that moves me, in conjunction with the fact that it has some of his most nimble and tastefully experimental guitar playing (also the case with his self-titled!)
Haunting and cold. If you listen to it often enough you'll find a lot of anger in the softness. This is one of the prettiest and most shocking albums ever
They're like the Goldilocks zone between a total lack of stimulus and the overload of modernity; and quite moving seeing the slight signs of decay in these monuments of antisepticness
