he came in from a work trip last night and holy fuck the maple bacon. and he brought a grape flavor which is sassy but not by vibe. i respect the creativity though. chocolate frosted jelly donut which i swear i have been dreaming of. and the regular glazed? incredible. we watched mountainhead and eastbound and down while nibbling away at the dozen he brought us. i’m currently nursing a kombucha and battling insane heartburn. but wow literally the best donut frenzy we have done together .
*as a haitian woman i don’t appreciate the bastardized and frankly offensive spelling of “voudou/voudoun“ here but i give grace to america ignorance in the face of capitalism. does wonders for their marketing i’m sure. only think spooky and otherworldly is the reaction my belly is having to them lol — one love 💕💕

These bite sized treats are “more like a cardamom and nutmeg spiced Belgium waffle than a regular doughnut”. Cooked hot to order with flavors of your choosing- today I went to catch some specialty flavors (pistachio cream, prickly pear & yuzu, pancakes) but usually they offer addictive classics like candied bacon, honey & sea salt, or nutella. They’ve got a number of in-house chai and matcha mixes, and best of all, you get a free dozen on your birthday! Always worth the drive!

Korean donut spot that just opened, masquerading as an American chain, merch and all. Their Donuts are made w mochi, so so good. They also have flavored oat milk on draft that I have yet to try. As I left there this morning I heard myself saying “love you” on the way out.. that kind of thing

my mind no longer operates in the paradigm that, in my youth, convinced me that some (most) people were too [insert socially favorable adjective here] to be friends with me. as a result i was timid and insecure. i knew a lot of people and i thought they would never be interested in knowing ~me~.
in the past 5 years i’ve made close and genuine friendships with people i had previously put on a pedestal simply because i thought they were better than me.
omg i read a poem this morning that goes something like: “devotion is not love, it creates distance. you can’t hold someone from a pedestal.”

fell in love with him @ the hollywood sanrio store. my boy is thicc & unbothered. he’s a reaaaal badmon. i don’t even know his lore like that and i dead don’t need to. the vibes are right with this lil sucker.
