Probably a basic answer now, but Iām from North Carolina and love it lol. One time I met a woman visiting here from California and she was so excited to tell me in a whisper like it was a secret, āsometimes when people say ābless your heartā theyāre actually being sarcasticā and I didnāt choose the response of ābless your heartā because it seemed like low hanging fruit.

šMy seventh grade humanities teacher was an older lady from Galveston, Texas. She always had Little Debbie Honeybuns for anyone who wanted them even though they were forbidden by the school, she put up a dedicated bulletin board in her classroom for my pro-animal rights propaganda and art, and she let me do my independent research projects on cool ass topics like chastity belts in the Middle Ages (which Iām just now learning were not realā¦) and Sigmund Freudās impact on Victorian sexual norms. Yes Iām normal.
Anyway she would call us all dearheart and that really stuck with me as a term of endearment I think itās so lovely and tender and genuine š„¹

šMy therapist, who is in her late 20s and is therefore no more than five years older than me, said āgood girlā to me during our session yesterday, because I am better able to manage my anxiety.
I had no idea how to react, and instead of that causing me anxiety and confusion, I just laugh about how unexpected that was. My girlfriend also got a kick out of it lol.
So silly. Life is so unpredictable and awesome in that way.

š„I know Iāve ranted about AI before but! Just saw another writer who was doing peer reviews as she was writing chapters with another person; until she found out the other person was using AI for their NOVEL! Blows my mind. She removed this person from her document and sent her a kind but straightforward message about how she wonāt be working with her going forward due to the AI usage. I feel like using it for novel writing is one of the most insane uses because #1 this person told me that the AI generated parts of the work werenāt even as good as the other personās normal writing was. #2 letās say no one noticed and you published with the AI work, so you would be okay if the book did well but it wasnāt even truly your writing that people would be praising?? Not to mention of course the morality and environmental impact.
Also, I was shopping around today for a custom leather stamp to start stamping the leather journal covers I make. Thought I found someone to make it until they said to send the logo file over and theyāll send back AI created renderings of a mockup to approve. Now I am starting the search all overš

Today was one of those bad days where it causes a headache and you feel exhausted from everything, but somehow a nice long walk outside made things seem a little better. Fresh air and thinking or daydreaming while listening to the sounds of outside.
I sometimes find myself taking for granted the place that I live, I work or Iām too tired and I use that as an excuse to not go outside more. Yet every time I get the chance to spend the time outside, I canāt say I ever regret it.
Iām going to make it a goal for myself to try and take a walk outside at least a few times a week.
