turns out, the 37 and 47 aren’t as interchangeable as the numbers would entail. what i’m trying to say dear reader, is that me and ellie were scammed. not really. but our mistake has brought us to a new place (a place we don’t want to be). it gave us the opportunity to pick apart and make fun of the movie poster at the bus stop (evidenced below) as if we ourselves haven’t also made a terrible mistake. a watched pot never boils, but an unwatched bus doesn’t get you to where you want to be. anyway !

the past 2 busses i have caught have been insanely last minute. i Just bought a ticket after my bus was scheduled to leave & caught it 4 minutes after scheduled departure.
The other time, I was walking around with 3 minutes to spare in the wrong direction in manhattan, realized, ran, and found the gate underground.
I have done the same with flights, catching it running on as the last person boarding the plane.
Needless to say, yes i've missed a lot of busses in my time as a chronically late person, but also, it has given me a deep faith in the world working out.

When looking up in a densely packed forest, i find there is so much beauty in the cracks where the sunlight escapes between a canopy of trees. Like maps of rivers, or veins in the arm, the space between has so much merit in its own and more, so many stories to tell. I love looking up! We should all make more of a habit of it! Wings of desire!
